Azerbaijan sees decline in tea import/export

Azerbaijan imported a total of 2,366 tons of tea, valued at $11,710,000 in the first quarter of 2024, Report informs, referring to State Customs Committee.
Compared to the same period last year, the imports fell by 983 tons or 29.3% in volume and $6,160,000 or 33.9% in value.
Tea import accounted for 0.32% of the total import of Azerbaijan.
Furthermore, Azerbaijan exported 156 tons of tea worth $1,457,000 in January-March 2024, shows a decrease of 24 tons or 13.3% in volume and $157,000 or 9.7% in value from the first quarter of 2023. Tea export mad up 0.02% of Azerbaijan's total export.
