Azerbaijan's consumer market decreases by 8%

In January 2021, the cost of products sold and services rendered to meet consumer demand in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 3.8 billion (over $2.23 billion), Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, this figure is 8.2% less compared to January 2020.
The cost of products and services sold by the private sector's business entities decreased by 8% in annual comparison and amounted to AZN 3.7 billion ($2.17 billion). As much as 47.8% of it fell to the share of individual entrepreneurs.
In January, one consumer spent an average of AZN 382 manats ($224.8), or AZN 20.5 manats ($12.06) less than a year ago.
