Azerbaijan raises cost of alcoholic beverage imports by over 16%

From January through July this year, Azerbaijan imported $43.885 million worth of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and vinegar.
According to the State Customs Committee, this is $6.127 million (16.2%) more than in the same period last year.
Azerbaijan's exports of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and vinegar for seven months amounted to $8.236 million, which is $0.863 million (11.7%) more than in 2020.
During the reporting period, imports of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and vinegar accounted for 0.7% of Azerbaijan's total imports, while exports were responsible for 0.07%.
