Azerbaijan diversifying tomato export

The work is underway in Azerbaijan to create new export markets for tomato growers, Report informs, quoting Yusif Abdullayev, Acting Chairman of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).

He noted that the markets of Europe and the Gulf countries are being considered for the export of tomatoes.

"For export to the Gulf countries, entrepreneurs must obtain a GLOBALG.A.P. certificate. The work in this direction has already begun," he added.

Abdullayev noted that work is underway to unite some small tomato-producing facilities in corporations.
