Azerbaijan, Belarus explore opportunities to expand bilateral trade

Azerbaijan and Belarus have discussed prospects for expanding economic cooperation, strengthening business ties, and increasing bilateral trade during meetings held within the framework of the Belarus-Azerbaijan Business Forum in Minsk.

According to the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), cited by Report, the forum was jointly organized by AZPROMO and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During a meeting with Belarusian Deputy Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Igor Dikun, the two sides exchanged views on the current state of economic relations and future opportunities for cooperation. Discussions also focused on the activities of the Azerbaijan Trade House in Belarus, the promotion of Azerbaijani products in the Belarusian market, and measures to boost bilateral trade.

In a separate meeting with Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov, the parties reviewed ways to strengthen ties between business communities, organize joint events, and encourage participation in exhibitions and business forums.

The sides also invited each other to attend major international events scheduled to take place in their respective countries. Among them are the InnoProm exhibition, to be held in Minsk from September 30 to October 2, and the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, planned for September in Azerbaijan.
