Aleksandar Vučić: Trade with Azerbaijan should increase fivefold

Economic relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia should be further expanded, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said during a business meeting with entrepreneurs operating in Azerbaijan as part of his visit to the country, Report informs.

"I hope we will find new areas for cooperation between Serbia and Azerbaijan. Just as there are no limits to the friendship between our countries, there should be no limits to our economic cooperation. I believe our trade turnover should be five times higher than its current level, and I think we can achieve this," the president said.

He noted that spa and mountain resorts in Serbia, especially in the eastern part of the country, have untouched nature.

"The Serbian side is trying to attract Azerbaijani investors to the country and sees this as mutual cooperation," Vučić said.

He added that Serbian investors are also interested in investing in Baku and other regions of Azerbaijan.

The Serbian President stressed that friendly relations between the two countries are developing and said there are great opportunities to expand economic cooperation.
