6% decline spotted in Azerbaijan's consumer market

From January through February 2021, the monetary value of products sold and services rendered to meet consumer demand in Azerbaijan amounted to 7.3 billion manats ($4.29 billion).
Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee, that this figure is 6% lower than in the same period last year.
According to the committee, the cost of products and services provided by business entities of the non-state sector dropped 6.1% year-on-year and amounted to 7 billion manats ($4.12 billion), including 47.7% formed due to activities of individual entrepreneurs.
In the reporting period, one consumer spent an average of 366.8 manats ($215.87), which is 9.7 manats ($5.7) less than a year ago.
