Minister: Azerbaijan develops digital, AI roadmap in agriculture

The Ministry of Agriculture is preparing a two-year roadmap for digital and artificial intelligence (AI) applications, Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov said during the third day of Baku Climate Action Week 2025 (BCAW2025), Report informs.
The minister mentioned that, in collaboration with international partners, the roadmap already includes over 30 practical use cases-ranging from crop mapping and soil monitoring to yield forecasting and water-efficient irrigation: "Pilot projects are underway, and nationwide implementation is approaching. These data-driven tools will help our farmers make smarter decisions, strengthen resilience, and unlock significant economic value in the coming years."
