Using the potential of Azerbaijan's liberated territories will have a positive impact on the development of agriculture in the country, Latif Gasimov, head of the Department of Agriculture and Ecology of the Cabinet of Ministers said at the 2nd Turkic Agro Business Forum held in Baku.
"There is a great potential for the development of grain growing, cotton growing, viticulture and animal husbandry in the liberated territories. Irrigation of 100,000 hectares of land will be provided by using the reservoirs there. I consider it useful to exchange experience within the Organization of Turkic States in order to find innovative solutions to overcome the existing problems in agriculture and effectively fight against global challenges," he said.
