Azerbaijan starts supplying apples to one more country

In the first ten months of 2021, Azerbaijan sent 51,392.57 tons of apples for $27.6 million abroad, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.
Compared to the same period last year, exports increased in value terms by 30.2%, in quantitative terms - by 0.39%.
This year, apples were exported from Azerbaijan to 11 countries. After two years and four months hiatus, supplies resumed to Afghanistan, after three years and five months hiatus - to Qatar. This year, apples were exported from Azerbaijan to Mongolia for the first time.

During the reporting period, 226.05 tons of apples for $114,200 were imported in Azerbaijan, which in value and quantitative terms is 55.88% and 71.55% less than in the same period last year. From Russia, 148.56 tons of products were purchased for $60,180, from Georgia - 77.49 tons for $54,020. Imports from Georgia decreased by 79.28% and 82.18%, respectively. Last year no apples were supplied from Russia.
