Azerbaijan resumes supplies of durum wheat from Kazakhstan

In the first ten months of last year, Azerbaijan imported 890,233.2 tons of wheat worth $246.25 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.
Compared to the same period last year, imports increased in value terms by 1.15%, and dropped by 22.02% in quantitative terms.
Some 868,971.75 tons of wheat were purchased from Russia for $240.66 million, 20,980,5 tons of wheat from Kazakhstan for $5.41 million.
Compared to January-October 2020, supplies from Russia decreased by 0.4% in value terms, by 23.36% in quantitative terms, from Kazakhstan - increased 3.2 times and 2.8 times, respectively. During the reporting period, Azerbaijan also purchased wheat from France, Italy and Turkey. After a 1.8-year break, supplies of durum wheat from Kazakhstan resumed.
