Azerbaijan, Mongolia mull establishing joint working group on agriculture

Azerbaijan and Mongolia have discussed the possibility of establishing a joint working group focused on agricultural cooperation, Report informs, referring to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Agriculture.

The discussions took place during a meeting between Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov and Mongolia's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Gombosuren Munkhbayar.

Minister Mammadov provided detailed information about state support for the agricultural sector in Azerbaijan. He emphasized that both countries are interested in strengthening cooperation based on trust, mutual respect, and sustainable development.

He noted that agricultural collaboration holds particular importance and reaffirmed Azerbaijan's full support for initiatives aimed at enhancing economic and trade relations with Mongolia.

During the meeting, the sides discussed strengthening cooperation in the agrarian sector and legal framework, forming a joint working group on agriculture, prospects for collaboration in livestock development, and other related issues.

Ambassador Munkhbayar described Azerbaijan as a friendly country and expressed Mongolia's interest in expanding partnerships across all sectors. He highlighted the significant potential for deepening agricultural cooperation. Both parties affirmed their mutual interest in the areas discussed.

The meeting also featured a broad exchange of views on topics of shared concern.
