Azerbaijan increases wheat imports by 26.5% 

From January through May 2023, Azerbaijan imported 450,152 tons of wheat for $134.904 million, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.

Compared to the same period in 2022, this is 94,527 tons (26.5%) more in quantitative terms and $10.755 million (8.7%) more in value.

Wheat imports accounted for 2.42% of Azerbaijan’s total exports.

In May 2023, the average price for a ton of wheat imported to the country was 465.98 manats ($274.11).
