Azerbaijan dramatically increases purchase of canned fish from China

In January-April of this year, Azerbaijan brought 1,335 tons of ripe or canned fish (-19%) worth $4.124 million (-24%) from foreign countries, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan bought 566.6 tons of products (-45%) worth $1.262 million (-59%) from Russia, 127.1 tons (-35%) worth $934,130 (-26%) from Türkiye, 165.75 tons (+21%) worth $547,100 (+21%) from Latvia, 111 tons (+44 times) worth $316,000 (+7.7 times) from China, and 168.8 tons (-20%) worth $301,830 (-10%) from Iran.
Of the 3,787 tons of canned fish imported to Azerbaijan (from 27 countries) in 2022, 52% came from Russia and 15% from Latvia.
